On June 10, 2026, the plenary session of the Tenth International Professional Forum "Book. Science. Culture. Education. Innovations: The Library as a digital Center of scientific Knowledge" (Sirius-2026).
The forum brought together representatives of libraries, scientific and educational organizations, publishing houses, information centers, government authorities and the professional community.
Sergey Vladimirovich Garbuk, Acting Director of VINITI RAS, took part in the plenary session. In his report, he presented the concept of the Unified Information System of Scientific and Technical Libraries (UIS NTB). The project provides for combining scientific and technical information resources in a common digital environment, creating a single access to them and developing services for data search and analytical processing. The structure of the system, the principles of its construction and integration with government information resources were considered separately.
The UIS NTB should make scientific and technical information more accessible and provide scientific organizations, government agencies and enterprises with a common set of search, analytical and information services.
