II International Annual contest of scientific papers of young scientists "Dignity"

The Gennady Burbulis Culture of Dignity Foundation (Moscow), the Strategy Interregional Humanitarian and Political Science Center (St. Petersburg) and the People's University of Modern Constitutionalism (Yekaterinburg) announce the II International Annual Competition of scientific papers by young scientists, bachelors, undergraduates, applicants, postgraduates under the age of 30 in memory of Gennady Eduardovich. Burbulis (1945-2022) "Dignity".

The Dignity International annual competition of scientific papers by students and young scientists in memory of Gennady Eduardovich Burbulis aims to develop creative activity of a humanitarian orientation in the educational and research youth environment and supports research in a number of fields of social sciences - political science, sociology, social philosophy, social economics, constitutional law, history of New Russia and political philosophy.

Topic II The contest "Politics and Philosophy in the past and present: aspects of relations".

The purpose of the creative works of the contest is to show and comprehend the most important and relevant aspects of the relationship between politics and philosophy at different stages of history, especially from the late 1980s to the present in the USSR and Russia, as well as in the post-Soviet and Eastern European space, including taking into account the vision of this topic by G. E. Burbulis in his concepts of political philosophy as a modern ideological synthesis of philosophy and political reality.

Sample themes of creative works:

• The political sphere of public life as a philosophical problem: specifics and solutions in the history of philosophy and political science.
• Political philosophy: history of formation, main themes, ideas, concepts, socio-cultural functions.
• Politics as a factor in the formation and content of philosophical systems.
• Politicization of fundamental philosophy in the XX–XXI centuries: main factors and substantive (ideological) trends.
• Utilitarian and spiritual in politics and political philosophy ("utilitarian" – economic, environmental, medical, military, etc., "spiritual" implies ideological (in particular, socio-philosophical), ethical aesthetic, religious and other contents.
• Political philosophy and political ideology in the XX–XXI centuries: similarities, differences, relationships.
• Power as a problem of philosophy.
• Globalization and sovereignty as a problem of political philosophy.
• Philosophical and anthropological foundations and prospects of modern political philosophy.
• The political philosophy of Gennady Burbulis: cultural and philosophical origins, main ideas and significance for practical politics.
• The political philosophy of Gennady Burbulis as a unity of the ontological, political and ethical.
• Personality and politics, in political culture and philosophy. The role of personality in history is a view from the standpoint of ideologies, different philosophical trends and political philosophy.

Citizens of Russia, CIS countries and other foreign countries are invited to participate: students of higher educational institutions, graduate students, young scientists. The age of the contestants is not older than 30 years. Competitive works (no more than 1 author's sheet / 40 thousand characters/, a list of sources according to GOST at the end of the text) It should be sent no later than May 15, 2024 to: burbulisfond@gmail.com .

The results will be announced in June 2024. The presentation of the collection of works by the winners of the competition will take place in November 2024. Information about the awards and rewards of the participants will be published additionally.
